Young Justice Characters Who Are Members Of The Queer Community
Young Justice is an animated series that follows the many sidekicks of the DC Universe as they work to confirm themselves as full-fledged heroes in their own right and balance the struggles of teenage life. Unlike similar shows DC Super Hero Girls and Teen Titans Go!, Young Justice takes a more solemn approach and tackles mature themes of grief, PTSD, performance-enhancing drugs, and more.
During the first 2 seasons on Cartoon Network, the series needed to join the standards of the kids' network, only allowing the series to handle on the more mature themes it wanted to. After being canceled in 2013, the show was brought back as a DC Universe Original and HBO Max Original for its fourth season. The move from a cable channel to a more mature streaming service allowed the creators free-range to explore the characters in ways they couldn’t before. Something Season 3 highlighted was the immense diversity within the larger DC Universe, not only across characters of different races and species, but also in gender and sexual orientation. In addition to the many heterosexual couples on the show, it was rev
Young Justice's Newest LGBTQ Arc Has a Big Treasure Remix
WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Young Justice: Phantoms Episodes 14-16, now streaming on HBO Max.
Young Justice has definitely been one of the more progressive cartoons in recent times. It's explored lgbtq+ relationships with Kaldur and Wyynde, and Halo and Harper Row, for example. Not to mention, the show also detailed Halo's interest in Islam, painting a more cosmopolitan, inclusive animated series.
That diversity is one of the main reasons fans are responding to the show. They simply love how there's a sense of culture and equality for viewers from various walks of life. Interestingly, with the second half of Phantoms now underway, Young Justice's newest LGBTQ arc has an intriguing remix on HBO's BigLove, not shying away from polyamorous marriages.

NEWS WATCH: Young Justice To Reveal A Major Traits As Gay!
With every fresh season that a television show goes through there are bound to be changes, which is necessary to keep it fresh and interesting. Well, New Justice has definitely made the turn down “Interesting Street” at blazing speed, starting with Aquaman exiting the Justice League to rule Atlantis. However, transitions can prove to be a daunting task and Aquaman is seeing this first hand. Tula, an Atlantean he previously had feelings for, died in battle years ago, and Kaldur also discovered his father is the DC villain Black Manta, sworn enemy of the former Aquaman, King Orin. Recently, Kaldur has participated in a secret gathering with Batman, Wonder Woman, Nightwing, Oracle, Robin (Tim Drake), and Miss Martian to defeat The Light, manipulating his friends and teammates in the process.
Experiencing these heavy feelings, Kaldur, in “Quiet Conversations”, takes a new meta-teen girl to Atlantis. When the unnamed girl’s powers manifested in “Early Warning,” wherein her newly formed gills prevented her from breathing above water. Kaldur decides to take her to Atlantis to meet

Greg Weisman pushed back on an online troll claiming that Fresh Justice failed because the show embraced diversity and LGBTQ representation.

Of all the praise that Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti's Young Justice has received over the years, some of the biggest has come in the way that the animated series really put words into action when it came to making sure that as diverse of a group of viewers as possible feels represented on the screen… that they felt like they are a part of the DC Universe. Unfortunately, not everyone necessarily agrees with that position. We have the small but raucous & way-too-whiney faction of "fandom" that loves playing "gatekeeper," pushing back on anything they evaluate "change." And then there are those within that community who just don't like anyone who doesn't look, execute or sound appreciate them.
Back in May 2022, we covered how Weisman responded to one troll in particular who suggested that they "strip the LGB

With the closing arc of Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti's Young Justice: Phantoms currently underway, if social media reaction is any indication then the HBO Max animated series could very skillfully be looking at a fifth sprint (keeping fingers, toes, and other bodily parts crossed just in case). But then you contain that small but loud & way-too-whiney faction of "fandom" that apparently care for playing the gatekeeper role so much that they shove back and thrust back hard on anything they reflect on a "change." And then there are those within that group who just don't like anyone who isn't them. Well, Weisman had an idea he wanted to "share" with one of those trolls earlier today. When the creeper hit up Weisman & Vietti earlier today (name protected because they don't deserve the free press) to suggest that they "strip the LGBT content" from the animated series "because it doesn't include any value." And then Captain Sunshine & Sparkles ended it with, "It pollutes the demonstrate and aliena
