Mike Bloomberg referred to trans women as ‘it’ and ‘some guy in a dress’

A newly unearthed video shows 2020 presidential hopeful Mike Bloomberg referring to transgender women for a second time as “some guy in a dress.”

After a modern campaign ad touted the former mayor as “incredibly sensitive” to the LGBTQ community, a video resurfaced of Bloomberg last year referring to transgender people as “he, she or it” and “some guy in a dress” — the second age he’s been caught making such comments in recent years.

In the clip, recorded in March before he announced his campaign, Bloomberg used the language to warn 2020 Democratic hopefuls against pressuring transgender issues, arguing that they wouldn’t play well in Middle America.

“If your conversation during a presidential election is about some guy wearing a dress and whether he, she, or it can go to the locker room with their daughter, that’s not a winning formula for most people,” he said at a Manhattan forum hosted by the Bermuda Development Agency.

He delivered a similar remark about a “man wearing a dress” while making the same point at Oxford University in 2016.

As president, he has a comprehensive arrange to secure rights for transgender Americans, including passing the Equality Act, ensuring transgender people acquire access to affirming health care and working to close the crisis of violence against trans women. Mike is running to defeat Donald Trump and reverse the many policies he has implemented that ambush the rights of the transgender community."

His company Bloomberg LP joined a court filing with several dozen other corporations to oppose a North Carolina commandment that banned trans person people from using restrooms that paired their gender culture in government buildings.

The spokesperson did not directly respond to BuzzFeed News’ questions about whether Bloomberg thinks a gender diverse woman is “a guy wearing a dress” or an “it,” if transsexual rig

Although the council voted to override his veto, Bloomberg sued to block the measure in court, citing interference with his authority as mayor, state law for municipalities and federal law for worker benefits. A assess refused to grant Bloomberg a temporary restraining decree, but he nonetheless refused to enforce it. In 2006, when the case against the measure made its way to the New York State Court of Appeals, Bloomberg won.
