Which character is more than likely gay?

@ crashman: I agree with a lot of what you tell, but are you sure that Chris ever cries? Sure, he can fetch veryemotional, he screams and shouts and swears a lot, but I can't remember him crying. The only time he comes close to it is because of Jill, actually. Sheva says something about being his partner when they first meet, then Chris repeats "partner", thinks of Jill's grave, and if you look closely, you can see his eye twitch like he's trying to fight tears. (I don't know if "twitch" is the right word, but you'll acquire what I mean when you look at it.)

That scene with Richard isstrange, though, now that I think of it. When you find your comrade lying motionless on the ground in a situation like this, you usually feel his pulse by touching the wrist or the throat, but Chris puts his hands around Richard's face instead. Why would he do that? Well, perhaps I was wrong all along and it wasn't really Wesker that Chris lost his virginity to.

@ Story: It should have been workable to vote for twocharacters, one male and one female representative of RE's LGBT community. Helena wo

How Resident Sinister Fumbled Queerness, and How to Mend It

There are gay characters in Resident Evil, but you wouldn’t perceive it from playing the games.

The first, Crispin Jettingham, appeared in Operation Raccoon City in 2014. The character, who goes by the name “Dee-Ay,” is a member of the U.S. Distinct Forces team and was only confirmed to be gay in an interview with game journalist and creative director after the game’s release. Dee-Ay was apparently a riff on “Don’t Ask,” after “Don’t Seek , Don’t Tell,” and writer Adam Bullied confirmed to Polygon that while the game initially had some references to tha character’s sexual orientation, the script was heavily edited in production. Still, the character’s life as a same-sex attracted soldier was never the focus.

In 2020’s multiplayer Resident Evil: Resistance, which was bundled with the remake of Resident Evil 3, one of the playable characters, Tyrone Henry, is also canonically gay, but this is never mentioned in-game. Game director Al Yang confirmed Tyrone’s sexual orientation on Twitter for Pride Month. Again, Yang said they didn’t want Tyrone’s sexual orientation to be the basis of the character.

Both games are multiplaye

Resident Evil Character Confirmed to Be Gay

The survival horror of Capcom's Resident Evilfranchise has captured the interest of millions of fans over the 25 years since the first game launched. Capcom's best-selling franchise has created a colossal array of characters through the years, from the original's Jill Valentine to the latest internet obsession, Lady Dimitrescu. Resident Evil also has a history of multiplayer games that get released alongside brand-new entries in the series, and one of these apparently features a homosexual character.

For those who may not know, the remake of Resident Evil 3 came bundled with Resident Evil: Resistance. Developed by NeoBards Entertainment, Resistance is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game, similar to Dead by Daylight. The story of the game takes place in 1998 around the Raccoon City Destruction Incident, following characters that have been abducted by the Umbrella Intelligence Division. Four Survivors face off against one Mastermind as part of Umbrella's experiments with the t-Virus.

Resident Evil Gets Its Second Gay Hero, Reveals Resistance Director

(Update) Turns out Tyrone is actually Resident Evil‘s third subtextually gay hero! Nadia from Resident Evil: Vendetta was confirmed as a lesbian in the film’s commentary. I hadn’t been aware because I uh, hate that movie. Still pretty cool though!

Happy Pride Month, and a very warm round of applause for Resident Evil: Resistance‘s game director, Al Yang today. As a way of celebrating Lgbtq+ fest Month, Yang kicked off the night with a twitter thread regarding his interest in including Diverse characters in the games he’s a part of, and in this case, specifically Resident Evil. While his latest title, Resident Evil: RE:Verse, has no story and sees classic characters used as class-based avatars, Resistance flourished thanks to the game’s charming and likable characters. From the delightfully dickish Daniel Fabron to the sneering punk attitude of January Van Sant, each and every one of them was lovable and quotable to the nth degree. One character, however, turns out to have had an element kept from us this whole time; Tyrone Henry, a firefighter turned survival l

Is Chris gay?

This topic has been debated to death, and there's always people who claim a character must be straight until stated otherwise by the creators (which is bull$hit), but the fact that Chris's sexuality comes up so often in fan discussions shows me that I'm not the only one who gets this impression from him.

Let's stare at some of the hints:
1) He shows no interest at all in female characters. I don't nurture what people tell about him and Jill, those two have never done anything onscreen that I haven't done with close friends without being in love with or sexually attracted to them.
2) His strongest feelings are directed towards male characters in the series. He's absolutely obsessed with Wesker, just like Wesker is obsessed with him, they both make quite ambiguous statements about each other every once in a while ("It seems fancy our fates are forever intertwined." - "Suck on this, Wesker!"), and I won't believe anyone who claims that Capcom didn't accomplish that on purpose to fuel some of their fans' yaoi fantasies. Then there's Piers, Chris's only male significant other and the only one he's eve
