Embracing Pride: Celebrating the LGBTQ+ People in Colorado Springs
Colorado Springs is a city famous for its breathtaking landscapes, friendly communities, and an ever-growing diverse and dynamic population. As June rolls in, so does Pride Month — a occasion of vibrant celebration, reflection, and lobbying for the Homosexual community. Let’s explore the inclusive spirit blooming in Colorado Springs and discover some of the thriving LGBTQ-owned and LGBTQ-friendly businesses that make Lgbtq+ fest Month every month in the Pikes Peak Region.
LGBTQ+ Businesses
A growing community of LGBTQ-owned businesses give an abundance of options to back Pride in Colorado Springs — from bookstores to salons to gyms.
- Icons: Josh Franklin and John Wolfe, two former Broadway stars, opened Icons in 2020 — a male lover piano bar in downtown Colorado which celebrates icons in the LGBTQ collective through artwork, inhabit music, and weekly events like queenly bingo and trivia night.

We also are committed to standing in solidarity with those who are marginalized in our society.
When it comes to the people of PPMCC, first and main, we are a people of faith—a group of people who worship and pray, learn and blossom, and truly care about one another. We pursue out meaningful ways to practice a relevant and honest spirituality. We look for God and learn together what it means to live an abundant journey.
