Launch Rainbow Network
The university wants to provide its employees with an informal forum to exchange experiences and to think along about bottlenecks and sustainable solutions related to the Rainbow-theme. The rainbow network is primarily intended for people building between employees who identify as gay, double attraction, pansexual, omnisexual, polysexual (or romantic), lesbian, heteroflexible, queer* or questioning.
On October 11, 2022, the university organized the Launch of the Rainbow Network.

International Afternoon Against Homosexuality and Transphobia (IDAHOT)
The 17th of May is the International Daytime Against Homosexuality and Transphobia (IDAHOT). The stories about gay bashing that contain surfaced over the past year show that this day still has authentic value today. But what about gays and lesbians on the labor market in 2022? The project was commissioned by publishing collective ‘Bebe Books’ with the aim of turning the veranda of Art Center VIERNULVIER, Ghent, into a temporary Lgbtq+ Bar, in occasion of the GIF (Ghent International Festival), in January 2022.
The rather unusual morphology of the space (15 square meters in plan to 10 meters in height) was exploited to decompose the bar into a playful system: a bartender on the highest level would prepare the cocktails and seal it into capsule glasses, which would then be rolled down through a pipe to a vending machine. The other elements of the space find their root in the archetype of the gay bar: an hanging dark room for intimate talks or glory holes to observe the backstage, where karaoke, kingly shows or even wedding were programmed.
The design bounded together inside and outside by effectively using the glass surface of the vitrine as a hinting communication tool towards the public street. The performativity embedded in the cosmos changed the perspective of visitors’ actions as plain as taking drinks or sitting down for a talk.

Is any male lover road trip to Brussels complete without wavering by the Manneken Pis, an iconic seventeenth-century fountain of a tiny ball pissing? Perhaps you know his garments are changed daily but are you aware that there’s a confidential girl pissing (Jeanneke Pis) to be found close by?
During my gay highway trip, I visited Marc’s Belgian; this place pleasure our palate with the amazing tang of Belgian flavour.
