Whilst Amsterdam is most famous for its “coffeeshops” where you can smoke joints legally, it is also culturally loaded with world-class museums and has the most distinctive urban landscape.
The municipality is dominated by water, with 165 canals, around 500 bridges, lots of cute narrow cobblestone streets, and many many many bicycles! It's so picturesque that the network of canals in the 17th-century historic old town (called the “Canal Ring“) was listed as a UNESCO Earth Heritage Site in 2010.
Amsterdam is also super gay, which is unsurprising given that it is the capital urban area of one of the most gay approachable countries in the world. It is one of the few places where we feel content walking the streets holding hands and don't feel appreciate we first contain to look over our shoulders to do that shelter check! It also has some fantastic parties, plenty of gay ha

Gay isn't wonderful enough
Absolutely bad but amusing enough watchable. And again the clichΓ©s are going on and on and on. In a way the characters played as they were meant to be (absolutely sissy (nichterig -Dutch-)) in this context were not that horrible. The shots were ideal the light was nice (seen on a TFT Flatscreen) and also the music as background was tolerable. So in general you can say a good movie with fine (looking as well) actors but a bad script. It's a movie to sit back and believe of all the other good movies you've seen. To much gay... is this possible? yes it can, this film is. I'm looking forward to see another film of this director Mr. Tom Six maybe he must see the British movies "AKA" or - it's an old one but superb - "Another Country" first.

very enjoyable film!
I saw the film in the Dutch cinema's and I liked it very much. It's controversial but that's exactly what I prefer about film, it does something with an audience. This film provokes a lot of different reactions. The movies feels favor a extravagant soap episode and I can absolutely recommend this

About Amsterdam and its gay life
Amsterdam had been a powerful city of maritime trade fame for many centuries. In the second half of the 20th century it was considered the gay capital of Europe, due to the beauty of the city and due to the city's liberal atmosphere which was far ahead of most other European cities and countries at that period.
As our Amsterdam Gay Maps show, there are several gay areas in Amsterdam, all of them not really far from each other. First of all you got the street with the unpronounceable name, Reguliersdwarsstraat, which is rather mainstream and quite busy at the weekend. Nearby are the Amstel street and Kerkstraat. And finally there are Warmoesstraat and Zeedijk in the very center of Amsterdam.
As you can see on our Clubs & Parties page there aren't many regular homosexual clubs and parties left in Amsterdam nowadays. The most popular and crowded parties are those which happen monthly or every few months. So, if you like dancefloors with hundreds of half-naked sweating guys, check for the next dates of those irregular parties.
