Charles Barkley Defends the Homosexual Community: ‘If You Own a Problem With Them, F*ck You’
Charles Barkley has a few words, conservative, homophobic naysayers.
The NBA legend attended American Century's public figure golf tourament over the weekend and had a conversation about anti-LGBTQ+ "a**holes."
In a viral TikTok video, the Inside the NBA host was seen at an event held at a lock in Lake Tahoe, CA. "I am going to buy drinks for y'all," he said toward the crowd. "And I am going to buy Bud Light," referring to their recent partnership with trans social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney. "All you rednecks and a**holes who undertake not want to beverage Budlight, f**k y'all."
He went on and said that he is not worried about being canceled, insinuating that if he gets fired, he will just play golf instead.
"If you're gay, God bless you. If you're trans, God bless you. And if you have a challenge with them, f**k you," he proudly said.

NBA All-Star, TNT commentator, and LGBTQ+ ally Charles Barkley is going viral for comments he made at the 2022 American Century Championship golf tournament in Lake Tahoe. In a video which has blown up on TikTok, Barkley reaffirmed his endorse of the gender non-conforming community—and shared a message for any homophobes or transphobes out there.
"I desire to say this," he began. "If you're gay or transgender, I romance you." He then paused as the crowd cheered, before continuing: "Hey, and if anybody gives you shit, you tell them Charles said 'fuck you!'"
Barkley has spoken openly before about how being an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalized groups is an addition of his lived experience as a Black man.
“I think anytime you're Black, you’ve got to stand up for other people," he said in a 2020 interview with Ellen DeGeneres. "Black people recognize what discrimination is like. If you're in a position of power, you've got to always stand up against discrimination. I've been blessed."
