Best places for gay to buy a house
Madrid Pride…Barcelona Circuit…Sitges gay nude beaches…Gran Canaria Yumbo Centre...
a mere humble sprinkling of some of the homosexual highlights happening across Spain each year!
But what about for living? Which are the best gay places to live in Spain?
We've been coming to Spain religiously every year since we came out as baby gays many many moons ago…! We love it here – not only is Spain one of the most gay friendly countries in the world, but almost every big city has its gay scene, conclude with fantastic gay events – like Madrid Event (one of the largest Pride events in the world), Barcelona's Circuit Party (the biggest international male lover festival in the world), and the Sitges Bear Week every September (one of the best bear events).
But what we like most about Spain is that society is so welcoming to its LGBTQ community. It's no wonder that gay boys migrate here in their numbers every year, particularly from the USA and the UK. And that's even before we've touched on the gorgeous weather, delicious food, inexpensive rent… and some of the hottest guys on the planet!
In short, when it comes to finding a fresh place

We’re moving from Ohio to the Bay Area and we feel supported and cared for by someone in our people. We had started active with an agent that came highly recommended from a friend (neither the friend or agent are queer) and we just weren’t feeling seen and understood. We could not be more relieved and are full of desire that this move is not only possible for us, but going to happen with, well, quite frankly the take no crap, get-sh*t-done energy of an old dyke. 7 Top Cities for LGBTQ Home Buyers
The LGBTQ community, estimated to hold the potential for $1 trillion in buying power, has long been regarded as a bright spot for the housing market. But many members of this community have shied away from purchasing a place because they don’t always feel welcome in their neighborhoods, according to reports. The homeownership rate for the LGBTQ population is 49.8%, which is far below the U.S. average of 65.8%.
In conjunction with Pride Month, realtor.com®’s numbers team identified the places that are not only known for being gay-friendly but also affordable. The research team uncovered several smaller cities with thriving LGBTQ cultures as skillfully as college towns that have strong antidiscrimination laws. “LGBTQ folks want an equitable experience,” Ryan Weyandt, CEO of the Queer Real Estate Alliance, told realtor.com®. “You don’t [want] to walk out your door and go into a world that’s abrasive and wants to determine you.”
To come up with the best markets for LGBTQ home buyers, realtor.com® found states that had at least 2.5 married or cohabiting same-sex couples per 1,000 residents; cities that received a score
