Both these proposals regard Jesus as a new single individual, taking it for granted that sexuality is the most vital element of self and that sexuality must always be practiced. Therefore, there are such creative suggestions that contain little point in the stories about Jesus or in the words attributed to him. Instead, one should rather start with the material that actually is found in the gospels of Jesus and family relationships, in brightness of what we know about men and masculinity in the Jewish society in ancient times.

Ancient people were not individualists
Ancient people were not individualists. Their self was strongly linked to the dwelling, the family and the village. It was this social and economic group that everyone depended on, and everyone was bound to contribu

Best Jesus production ever!
How this movie didn't win an Oscar, or a nomination for that matter, is a mystery. I guess the academy works in mysterious ways.
A compelling story with a complicated love triangle(pentangle?) involving Mary Ma
After the Supreme Court’s historic ruling on same-sex attracted marriage, it seemed fond all the proudly homophobic Christians came out of the woodwork to discuss about how much they still hate gay people. As a straight Jew, the homophobia amongst Jesus’s followers has always struck me as a bit of a surprise: Worshipping at the feet of a ripped, hung guy, seems at least a little homoerotic. But it’s Jesus himself who lights up my gaydar favor a Christmas tree. The images show Jesus as a queer man of today in a current city.
He is persecuted, killed and rises again in the 24 paintings by New York designer Doug Blanchard. A surprisingly diverse team of friends combine the gay Jesus on a journey from suffering to freedom.
One pastor says that they “depict the Holy Week that is in my heart.” I felt the equal way, so I wrote the reflections and prayers that appear in the book.
This week Christians around the nature remember Christ’s Passion—his suffering in his final days as he was betrayed, persecuted and brutally killed. Queer people often identify with the hurt and humiliation that Jesus experienced during crucifixion.
Christ’s suffering is on the minds of many LGBT Christian artists all year long.
Jesus on the cross is the most common theme in LGBT Christian art. Artists evaluate it the optimal way to declare the horrors inflicted on queer people, to advocate justice and perhaps to offer the trust of new life.
The majority of viewers agree that the most p
