Baltimore gay pride 2024
These photos are from the 2024 Baltimore BLAQ Self-acceptance Royal Pageant, held at Motor House on October 19. This event was a part of Baltimore Blaq Pride 2024, which is organized by Blaq Equity Baltimore and the Black Arts District to recognize Black LGBTQIA+ Identity festival Month.
This year’s competition, hosted by Shawnna Alexander, featured contestants competing in categories that honored presentation, talent, and evening wear. Judges Alexis Blackmon, Onyx Revlon, Jeff Harris, and Keith Holt selected the winners.
This year’s newly crowned royal court included Mx. FemmeDaddy Foxx, Mr. Inferno K. Bonet, and Ms. Chanel Janaé Chloé. The nighttime opened with a production by Shawnna Alexander and included special performances by Naomi Couture, Egyppt Chloe, Prynce Iman Diamond, and Kayden Amore Chloe. Katie D Lite was also in attendance. The event highlighted the talent and pride of Baltimore’s Homosexual community.
Baltimore BLAQ Pride was founded in 2002 by Carlton R. “The Duchess” Smith, Leroy Burgess, Dana Owens, and Kevin Clemons.

Baltimore Pride Festival 2024
June 14: Mt. Vernon Pride. This event in the 200 block of West Read Street will feature high heel races for ages 20 and under and for ages 21 and over. Other attractions incorporate a cash exclude, food trucks, a kid’s corner, and live performances by Jacqjall, Glorian, DJ Spice, Teddy Douglas, and Tommy Davis. The event runs from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
June 14: Twilight on the Terrace. Under the twilight, the Pride Center of Maryland celebrates its 20th annual gala, featuring food, an open bar, and music at the Baltimore Museum of Art Gertrude’s Restaurant from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
June 15: Pride Celebration / Block Party. Baltimore’s annual Identity Parade will commence with marching along North Charles Lane, from 32nd Road to 24th Avenue. The parade will host community groups, local organizations, and businesses and will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Attendees will reiterate the theme, “Power of the Past, Oblige of the Future.” At the finish of the Identity festival Parade route, the Block Party at North Charles Highway will start at 3 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. There will be food vendors, drinks, face coat, glitter tattoos, a drag showcase, and a performance by headliner Saucy
Pride Parade Details June 15, 2024
Here are all the available details for this Saturday’s Pride Parade.
1. Meet & time—15 June 2024, scheduled to leave @ 1:00 pm, but probably not actually moving until 1:30ish.
2. Parade route—PRIDE Celebration leaves from Charles St & 33rd St. Pride route goes down Charles St and finishes at Charles & 23rd St.
Participants can walk or control in parade. If walking, participants walk back to starting point after completing the parade route.
3. Parking—unfortunately, no parking in Cathedral lot on Sat, 15 June. Priestly ordinations at Cathedral that day; parking reserved for ordinands & families plus Cathedral & Diocesan staff participants. (Please search for street parking close by.)
4. Gathering point: meet in Cathedral parish house entrance at 12:40 pm, on time please.
At 12:50 pm, Cathedral & Ch of the Messiah groups, gathered together, saunter from cathedral to CHARLES ST & 33 St for start of Self-acceptance Parade.
5. Parish banners—if someone willing to be a banner bearer, Ch Messiah should bring banner; Cathedral banner will be with receptionist, and needs to be returned to cathedral after Parade.
