Marcia Gay Harden talking about Lee Krasner, her character in "Pollock" (2000): "When she was first married, Lee's main concern was pleasing Jackson (Pollock), she was the gentle of woman who hung her hat on another man's peg to detect herself, in spite of how brilliant she was in her own right. Their marriage was wonderful, fabulous, and hideous. They fed off each other in ways that weren't always sound , but, if they hadn't been together, Pollock never would have become society famous and Lee wouldn't have pushed herself to the artistic limits she did. As soon as they split, one of them was bound to destruct."

Harden, Geena Davis, Marisa Tomei, Russell Crowe and Adrien Brody are the only actors to win an Oscar without being awarded for the matching performance in none of its predecessor awards (Golden Globe, Critics Choice Awards, SAG and BAFTA). She, Geena Davis and Marisa Tomei were not even nominated for those awards for their performances in "Pollock," "The Accidental Tourist" (1988) and "My Cousin Vinny" (1992), respectively, and Crowe's only award for "Gladiator" (2000) before the Oscar

  • Professor River Song: Just save it together okay?
  • Anita: I am keeping it together. I'm only crying. I'm about to die, it's not an overreaction.
  • River Song: You know, it's hilarious, I keep wishing the Doctor was here.
  • Anita: The Doctor is here, isn't he? He is coming back, right?
  • River Song: You know when you observe a photograph of someone you know, but it's from years before you knew them. and it's like they're not quite finished. They're not done yet. Well, yes, the Doctor's here. He came when I called, just like he always does. But not my Physician. Now my Doctor, I've seen whole armies change and run away. And he'd just swagger off back to his Tardis and open the doors with a snap of his fingers. The Medic in the Tardis. Next stop, everywhere.
  • The Doctor: Spoilers. Nobody can open a Tardis by snapping their fingers. It doesn't operate like that.
  • River Song: It does for the Doctor.
  • The Doctor: I am the Doctor.
  • River Song: Yeah. Some day.
  • Other Dave: Who is he? You haven't even told us. You just expect us to reliance him.
  • River Song: He's the Doctor.
  • Strackman Lux: And who is the Doc
