CHAMPAIGN — According to the Gender non-conforming Legislation Tracker, 85 anti-transgender bills were passed in statehouses around the territory this year. Many target trans youth, including access to gender-affirming healthcare for minors.

For the last installment of our series Flights and Freedoms, IPM’s Kimberly Schofield spoke to reporter Owen Henderson about Illinois’ tries to protect transitioned rights.
